The D290Py-S is a high power mids & highs compression driver with the highest sensitivity in its 1” exit class. It offers unsurpassed vocals and crystal clear natural sounds from its unbreakable Polyimide diaphragm.

Its high output and smooth midrange frequency response allow you to use this driver in any high output audio application for vocal reinforcement. This driver is commonly found in most PRO Audio manufacturers’ premium PA speaker cabinets.

This top of the line technology is ideally suited to many different types of applications: PRO Audio Line-arrays, high-end monitors, high output home audio speakers, Car Audio or PROAudioOnWheels® Systems, for which performance is crucial.

The specially designed Polyimide diaphragm provides durability and additional damping for natural sound quality. This technology raises the bar for high frequency drivers by giving the driver wider usable bandwidth for smooth, dynamic output along with excellent efficiency.

Polyimide diaphragms supersede titanium diaphragms, being able to play low frequencies without shattering and performing more accurately at high frequencies.

Recommended Crossover Settings:
The polyimide diaphragm is attached to a 1.75″ diameter copper-clad aluminum wire with Kapton® former for a 180 Watts RMS musical power handling, when used with recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP 1000 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12

WG11-25

Screw-On compact PRV Audio’s WG11-25 exponential horn. At under 3″ of depth this horn makes installation easy in tight spaces.

A standard 1-3/8″-18 TPI Screw on mount is compatible with most 1″ compression drivers. The WG11-25 is constructed from non-resonant ABS plastic making it perfect for outdoor or automotive use. Acoustic loading is maintained down to 1200 Hz.
